The conference will be held entirely on-site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Focus of the workshop<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In an era marked by unprecedented challenges\u2014from climate change to digital transformation\u2014the&nbsp;<strong>need for innovative and effective solutions&nbsp;<\/strong>has never been more urgent. Recent events, such as the global response to the COVID\u201119 pandemic, have vividly demonstrated the&nbsp;<strong>complexity of modern organizations and the environments<\/strong>&nbsp;they navigate. This workshop seeks research that addresses these complexities, offering new models, methods, and tools for a rapidly evolving world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Complexity as a Research Paradigm&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Complexity<\/strong>&nbsp;is a mandatory approach to properly address research questions in economic, financial, managerial, organizational, and innovation systems. These systems are **Complex Adaptive Systems** characterized by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Non\u2011linear relations among their constitutive elements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heterogeneity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Self\u2011reflexivity \u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emergent properties<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Self\u2011organization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dynamic continuous adaptation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The diffusion of new technologies for massive data collection offers the opportunity to measure and evaluate complex system dynamics through&nbsp;<strong>data\u2011driven methodologies<\/strong>. New tools can be used to collect large amounts of rich, high\u2011quality, and reliable data in almost real time.
