I am an Associate Professor of Management Control and Strategic Management<\/strong> and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics & Law<\/strong> at the University of Klagenfurt <\/strong>in Austria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am particularly interested in how modern organizations navigate volatility, technological disruption, and the demands of sustainability. Specifically, I am interested in how digital technologies can be leveraged to steer organizations through crises and build systemic resilience. Recognizing that disruptive technologies\u2014such as advanced AI\u2014fundamentally reshape decision-making structures, I am intereted in how such innovations spread across corporate networks through peer effects, interfaces, and social contagion. Additionally, I study the role of management accounting<\/strong> in shaping transitions within organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am a core faculty member in the interdisciplinary Self-Organizing Systems research cluster<\/a> at the University of Klagenfurt<\/a> and serve as a research area coordinator for the area Complexity in Management and Organization Studies<\/a> at the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy<\/a>. Additionally, I am an academic editor for PLoS ONE<\/a> and participate on the editorial board of SN Business & Economics<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I earned my doctoral degree in Social Sciences and Economics from the University of Klagenfurt in 2012 with distinction. In 2018, I was awarded the title of venia docendi in Business Economics from the University of Klagenfurt. In 2021, I received the Advancement Award in the Humanities and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
